It's because the folk that make the rules are the owners of the Astons.----

Wouldn't be seen dead on the Honda you mention.---

Well strap me to a tree and call me Brenda!

I've just checked the checker again & my 1.8 is now exempt from the LEZ & ULEZ charges. I never thought that setting it up properly would work in my favour.

Maybe I should get the 75 converted to steam? Or just not bother going inner city. I went to London once. Once was enough!!!

The Chinese company BYD stand to make a fortune replacing diesel buses with electric buses, I wonder if they will introduce a "clunker bill" to replace them!

Now that’s the way to travel - no disrespect intended to our Rovers of course.
Given that the London Mayor exempted historic vehicles, may be a replacement vehicle for those affected could be found here: http://www.berrybrooksteam.co.uk/for-sale/full-size

Don’t forget to fuel it with the dirtiest, most sulphurous coal possible, and tow a trailer with a coal stove in it. Sit back at 3 Mph and enjoy all the increased emissions from the tailback behind you. In the rush hour.

Blimey! speak of the devil! Paris just ordered 800 electric buses to replace the diesel buses. https://www.wionews.com/world/paris-...ht-smog-209071

I wonder if our very own Stuart has been electrified.

But where will I go if I want to have a £7.50 pint of beer followed by a good stabbing?
London is also the best place in the UK to experience " city aroma", that heady scent of rotting bin bags and stale urine.

Joking aside, i agree, its a money making scam. Expect the price to sky rocket once the initial outrage has died down. £50 within the next 5 to 10 years would be my bet

I don't think I shall believe any of the results - both my diesels will be charged, which I expected, but whilst my 2004 Contemporary V6 Auto is also charged, my 2003 ZT V6 Auto is exempt!

Fortunately I have no desire or need to visit London ever again.

Default Ulez

I have a 2.5 V6 Connoisseur SE Highline, had it for 17 years and love it or i would have got rid of it but i live in the area which will be covered by the new ULEZ coming in 2020. i agree with the need to cut pollution but the mayor is not helping with a scrappage scheme so basically if i want to get a compliant car i will be fined £10,000 (the cost of a compliant car and i'm well over 6'2" so a fiat 500 wont do. so my question is, is there any conversion available to make my car compliant?
