Default Speedo cable connections

Hello everyone I am new to this forum,

I am seeking some technical help for my Rover 75 2003 connoisseur cdti
whilst driving on the motorway the inner wheel arch lining came loose from a previous repair, where a mechanic had not fitted the clips back on the under tray which had subsequently been lost on a previous occasion.

The main issue now is the sensor for the speedo was ripped out and I cannot see as to where and what it plugged into as the connection plug is missing. I have a picture of my drivers side wheel arch and would appreciate any help as to where it should go?
