Default IPK Diagnostics

Hi folks,

I've been doing a bit of tinkering. The IPK/Message Center is in German. I would like to change it to English and, ideally, leave the units metric. I have searched and found T-Cut's how-to. I can get to 19>10, but that's as far as it will go. The resulting display shows --10 at the top left and -------50 at the bottom right. There is no way to go anywhere from there except back to the previous menu. Does this mean a T4 or TOAF is required?

While in there I looked at section 6 for a bad fuel level sender. The sender(s) are not reporting any faults. Still, a full tank will send the needle to the bottom peg at 08:00. Now, with roughly 39 litres remaining according to the IPK, it is steady at the red EMPTY mark (and has been for a couple of days). To be clear, the readings for section 6 are --6.0 (top left) & --0384 (bottom right), --6.1 (top left) & ------ (bottom right), 1-6.2 (top left) & --0397 (bottom right). Any thoughts on where to look next? Bad contact on the plugs at the tank maybe?

Cheers,
Glenn

I saw a mention of that on another thread. I will have to take a look at that. The problem is that I think all these computer programs like the IPK changer and TOAF are way smarter than I am. Maybe I should try to find a school child to explain this stuff to me!

Thanks Ceedy,
Glenn
