Always thought this was a stupid place to locate the fire exstinqisher.

If I'm in (or even out) the car when a fire starts in the cabin the last place i'd want to be is sitting in there groping under the seat looking for, and trying to release the fire exstinqisher.

I've mounted mine in the boot under the CD changer bolted to a piece of wood behind the boot liner for rigidly.

Then, if a fire starts in the cabin, I'm straight out, in the boot, get fire exstinqisher and fight fire safely from outside.

it's not to save the Car - If I was stuck in the Cabin, last place i'd want my Extinguisher to be is in the Boot it's a worse case scenario, but it's there to save LIFE not the Vehicle
