Roverbreaker has found the V8 bumpers
As long been touted on the forum that Roverspares had a container full of bumpers some of them premium style, well he has located them and they are on ebay... unfortunately these are unfinished and about as much use as a choc teepot as they don't have the fixings for the indicators, fogs grills etc.
Some nice prices on Mk1 bumpers though. Check it out http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-MG-ROV...item2c540506b2 Stubs |

As you say if these haven't got the brackets fitted and other parts are no longer available.
Not much good. |

That's right, only useful to someone that has it fitted already and has damaged the plastic.

What a shame,they look fantastic.
Would it be a task too far to get the fixings fabricated? |

For that price it would be worth fabricating some brackets to hold the fogs and indicators.
The grill surround could be more of a problem though! |

well, thats the only "large" bit of the set up - sure someone can talk to a chinese man somewhere to get the rest with comparatively low carriage? You'll have to have a different badge system though...

I find it strange that the mounts would be added after painting....

They weren't David,
there was plenty of these bumpers offered in unfinished specification to clear. None had the Fog-light fittings etc which are normally moulded into the bumper. Most strange. |

Just asked if they have a standard bumper in HNA. If so I'll pop up and get it. Saves painting mine.
For anyone with a premium that cannot get the chrome but has all the other bits. Why not go to a bodyshop and ask them to finish it with filler. I think they would still loom amazong even if not chromed. Foose style.
