Question Aldi AutoXS OBDII Vehicle Fault Code Reader FCR

Model AD64 Product Code 707370, Oct '20.

Reduced to £9.99 in my local Aldi.

Tried it on a '52 plate diesel.

Believed to connect and work, but as no faults were reported, either it doesn't work with my car, or (just just conceivably OMG), my car doesn't have any reportable faults, which'll be a first !!!

Anybody else had any experience with this reader ?

Would have thought it would given the message "unable to connect -check plugged in/ignition on" etc however as said i thought diesels were compliant after 2002.

My T4 guru informs me that any car with a NNN500340 ECU should be OBDII compliant.

My car, being an automatic, has a NNN100720 ECU, and will NOT be OBDII compliant.
It CAN be made compliant, but may have issues to do with a missing temperature sensor.

So the FCR is going back.
