Dead ZT.Starter motor.
Took the ZT to the petrol station to use their "hoover" fore the inside and boot, its does a good job particularly the boot with that debris attracting felt material. Long story the important part is "check the starter motor connections are clean" cleaned up and reconnected problem solved. Chris S. P.S.I didn't discover the problem,my mechanic did.

When my starter motor didn't work after reassembly, post- clutch renewal, I smacked it with a wrecking bar. It has worked perfectly ever since. (It was not working occasionally before the strip-down.) If it starts to be unreliable again, I'll seek out a replacement.

The most common problem with dodgy starters is erosion of the contacts in the solenoid switch. You can easily fix this with a contacts kit from eBay.
