Thanks Steve for giving me a contact for my clutch refit, at Fast fit Clutch!
The lads have replaced it all! lovely good price i think too.

I had the works Slave, master, new clutch , Hydraulic fluid and new clean gearbox oil as my clutch started to die last week, no warning either!.

The lads could not believe the condition of the clutch itself which this car was on its second clutch at 313000 miles, this one went in on 201000 miles , so the first one lasted that long ( Rover one) and the one fitted by Lichfield Rover lasted 112000 miles.

so the Third one, has just gone in, brand new here's to the next 100000 miles, It seems that my clutches seem to last too 100000 miles. I had OE spec also, nothing but Rover spec.

Fast Fit clutch could not believe the fly wheel condition it was barely worn after 300000 miles and the condition of my car! Dean was great, The gearbox was inspected too, no wear at that mileage is a credit to MGRover Longbridge.

That is amazing, what engine is yours? I am hoping my new clutch (fitted by self) will last as long as the original - 132,000 miles, on my un-souped CDT.
