It's amazing how the thought of money can change people Richard

Hope it doesn't cause you too much grief and divide family members.

Good morning Richard, as the Co Executor is a solicitor, get him/her involved to deal with anything legal or in dispute. We are going through this at the moment with the division of assets and property of Jessica’s mum who passed away 18 months ago. We went to the high court in Nairobi in February with the solicitor and a barrister for the probate hearing. The court was packed and we had to wait our turn. When it came, we all had to stand up in front of the judge with our barrister who did the speaking, there were no issues. The next thing for us is to sit down in a family meeting with the solicitor to discuss amicably, the division of property etc, In the interests of family relations there will be give and take, then compromises ...as money is not everything.....but who knows, we might be in for some surprises. When someone passes away, everything changes.

You are stronger than you think Richard, you were given the position of main executor for your strength of character and reliability. You will get through this, but do lean on your solicitor to play his/her part, to lessen the stress.

Good morning Ian, I hope everything goes well with your fasting test and your results are normal. A shame you are fasting as I do enjoy seeing what you are cooking up I just got back from CID and having my finger prints done for my photo ID card. A bit messy from the ink, but I was given wipes to clean it off afterwards. We had rain all morning on and off for the drive into the city. A bit warmer here, 21C thunderstorms forecast.

Lost the feeling in my fingers changing the bulb in one of the outside lights! Had to use a naff low energy bulb, need to see if I can get a decent one, one that doesn't take about an hour to warm up.

Sorry to hear you're having to deal with this money grab by relatives as well as grieving for your aunt Rich.

Morning all - from a bright, sunny, but cold North Yorkshire.
A bit like Ian, I'm now on countdown for my annual heart check-up and diabetes tests, so I'm on sensible diets in preparation

Sorry to hear of your situation Richard.

It does indeed happen all to often and I'm having to deal with the same in our family atm with my late mother's estate. And as is often the case too the money grab is coming from a family member who did the least when it mattered and rarely showed his face.

Most people fast during the night Ian. It depends what time your bloods will be taken. The range of 8-12 hours allows you a window of 4 hours in which to have your blood test safely done. So from the point of fasting, drink only water until the test. Tonight you can have a meal up until midnight. After midnight, only take water until you get to the clinic to have your test in the morning anytime after 8 a.m. Does that help clarify? If your on diabetic medication you should check with your GP ....good luck!
