Default Mileage...

So the current tyres are 225/40/18 which stocktake explained are incorrect. The 45s will be going on asap. BUT this got me thinking. If the speedo has been showing faster than actual due to wheel revolutions does this mean the car has done less actual mileage than the clock is showing?

I wonder if there's a way to work it out? I know those wheels have been on the car a very long time! I know it does'nt matter but I am curious

You just need the current mileage and the mileage when the tyres were fitted..

Ill get the folder out tomorrow! I was shocked at the actual difference when I stood a straight at the side of the old girl with the right tyre tonight. I think I will get a better ride with those. ☺

Just had a set of 45's put on mine, I don't like the 40's as the ride is too harsh (Probably an age thing)

I kept thinking it was a ZT thing! Was over the moon when Dave told me it would improve a little when the straights go on.

Your car will also appear to be doing less MPG.

That can be adjusted for you Dawn if you want it back to where it should be.
