Default Handbrake oopsie

The saloon had been left parked up for a few months, so I had left in gear, with the handbrake off, to stop it binding.
Went to change the duff battery this morning, so knocked it out of gear (and forgot about the handbrake &#128563.
I think I’ve been driving autos too much lately.🙄.

Came back out from garage to find it had rolled down the drive.

Could have been a lot worse.
I’m not too worried about the car, but it could have easily rolled out onto the road.🤭
Lesson learned.😞

Cameras do funny things. It’s not as big as it looks. It used to hold 3 75’s in a row, leaving enough room to drive past them, but alas one had to leave the fold a few months ago.😞
Probably best I don’t park any on the slopey bit for a while though.🙄.
I usually choc the wheels when I leave them lying up, but I had moved the car a few weeks back (to paint the wall) and must have forgot to put them back.😳
Wall had to be repainted again today.😡

I'd say you just about got away with that. My luck would have had the top of the wing gouged by the wall capping! (I did that to the rear wing of my A4 Avant, also taking out the recently replaced light cluster which had been cracked when I bought the car.)
