I'd just use the £10k as a fund to keep the Rover going for the next 5-10 years. Each part that's replaced should be good from now on. It's what I'm doing with my 2007 E61 Beemer. As long as it costs me less than £3-4k to maintain it each year it's cheaper than an average car on PPP and at least I own it.
