MoT failure - 75 Connie CDT Tourer 2003

Drivable and in need of saving - don't let it go to the scrapyard :-(

I am now asking for just £250 cash, which will provide someone with a good source of spares for a similar model or a very cheap runabout after some minor work.

Bought from a well respected member on this site just over 3 years ago, my Rover 75 has served me well, especially on a few trips to Southern Spain and back and more recently, as my daughter's 'load carrier.

However it has failed it's MoT due to a 'corroded suspension mounting' and 'Parking brake efficiency below requirements'.

The garage have said it needs "discs, pads and shoes", which will resolve the handbrake issue, as well as some welding for the Suspension mounting....

The cost to me for this work is around £400, but of course, one of you very handy chaps out there, could get it sorted much cheaper!

It has 190,120 on the clock and a badly dented nearside rear Passenger door.

On the plus side, about 18 months ago, I had all 4 INJECTORS REPLACED by LYNX Diesels, who are based near Reading and well regarded by those that know.

It has run really well since then, but this is time for me to 'walk away' (literally) and my first thought was to see if there is a Club Member who is interested in picking up a cheap Connie, with high miles and some battle scars, but which has had money spent and runs very well.


This is a drivable vehicle, which has a valid MoT until August 9th.

It also has a full tank of Diesel and is not being driven currently.
