Default which drop links to buy?

Major set back with the car today, went to grease the lower ball joint of the near side drop link only to find the rubber has split.

Looked at threads about drop links and new ones "often" seem to fail.
Which drop links are recommended for a CDTI Tourer?

Item 9 here

DMGRS, Rimmers, LEMFÖRDER, other ?

Are the rubber sleeves available on their own?

Matt at dmgrs sells new boots. I certainly wouldnt choose delphi, as i went through 4 of theirs in less than a year. Now on Unipart ones which have been ok so far. But if your originals are just suffering a split boot, then replace the boot. The originals were by far the best.

Why not go with Meyle HD?

They have a 4-year warranty.

I have recently fitted new complete front strut assemblies to both sides of my daily driver ZT-T 1.8T. They came with the drop links too.

My other ZT-T will have those Meyle HDs if the OE ones show signs of wear and need replacement.
have you a link?

thanks

I found this
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-ROVER...EAAOSwAYtWOKbc

£33 all but 5p, 4 year warranty and a pair with free postage, this seems a good price

Are the drop links for the front the same across the 75 range?

That is the place I purchased mine to go in the parts cupboard until needed.

They are the same across the range.

If you just want the boots I found this:

https://www.balljointboots.co.uk/

Not sure if it's a viable option after all the time and effort in taking off the links but if they're good it might be worthwhile after a good repacking with grease .

I bought some boots without checking how to fit them - the originals are bonded on, not enough lip to use springy circlip type things or wire. So waste of time.
I could have tried glueing them to the old rubber though I guess?
