It can be replaced if you are changing the thermostat which will involve removing pipe from the MAF to the turbo then engine mount and jacking up the engine and after removing a couple of allen bolts that hold the metal pipe to the engine, you can wriggle the thermostat out.
If you are leaving the thermostat in place , it's still the same strip down but you will have to remove the air filter cover and get your arms down the back of the engine to access and remove all the allen bolts holding the metal pipe to the block to allow it to be lifted out of the thermostat to get to the O ring. Be prepared to endure some scratches and bruises and some new words to add to your vocabulary ! |
