Default Selling Highline bits - do they fit BMW E46?

Looking at taking the Highline Set Up out of my ZT and replacing it with something more modern that will bluetooth phones and control an iPod.

When I come to Ebaying all the bits (Head Unit, CD Changer, SatNav, TV & Radio Tuners etc) can I advertise them as BMW E46 parts too? It's just that BMW E46 parts seem to attract higher prices than Rover/MG bits but appear to be the same.

Will probably sell non-essential bits first and keep hold of the head unit/radio until a new system is ready to fit.

Oh! It's an 04 Facelift 54 plate car with a mark 3 Nav unit.

The Mark III supplied by the Hun to Rover were nobbled so the software could not be updated - a very big drawback over the versions available on BMWs.

You can get integrated bluetooth and Ipod with the high line system but it isn't the cheapest way of doing it.

Bluetooth

Ipod

The radio units in the rovers were mostly single tuners and have poorer sound quality than the BM24

Thanks Chaps - useful info.

I guess the head unit will fit into a Beemer though?

I'd looked at the how-tos for iPod and Bluetooth and you're right - there are much cheaper ways. Such as a £220 unit from HongKong.....

It will fit but it might not be able to be secured in place as the one for the e46 has a set of screw holes on a bracket that is riveted in place. If you buy a unit for an e46 you have to cut these bits off.
