Default Lo-Line to Hi-Line conversion

My 2003 Rover 75 SE Conn. 2.5 Auto is in need of a face lift and I am thinking about updating the Sat Nav. to Hi-line. Is this a matter of buying a new Hi-line unit and simply replacing the existing Symphony Radio and Lo-line or do I need new wiring harnesses etc? Do the new units come with full fitting instructions including removal of the existing? I have looked at the previous posts going back to 2007 and the process seems rather complicated.
Any advice please?

It is rather more involved than just replacing the nav computer and radio head unit, you'll need a different wiring harness and a seperate boot mounted radio tuner and video module.

Members Duotone, damydyo1, The Bear, and wptk999 have successfully swapped from Low-line to High line.

Take a look at this thread as a start....

Thanks Reebs. I have read all the info. and I think it might be rather more than I would like to take on. Do you know if there is anyone who could undertake the job for me?

Perhaps the member in post #4

I doubt you'll get a dealer or garage to agree, your best bet is to put out an appeal on the forums.

Best of luck.
