can't close my bonnet...help !
does anyone know how to solve this problem,bonnet has caught on the hook but won't shut fully and the plastic bit (DON'T KNOW ITS TECHNICAL NAME)Is still pointing out of the grill.I don't want to force the bonnet down, so ideas would be gratefully accepted.thankyou in advance.

Sounds like the sliding release plates have stuck open. Try spraying them with WD40 and maybe slacken off the retaining screws to release the pressure on them until you can work them loose by pulling and pushing on the bonnet release handle.

Plus find something round ish, pliars handle may do, then put it in the hole and tap it lightly on the op side to the locking blade, keep adding lubrication and tapping hard and the blades should slowly open further and further untill they open fully.. :lol:
Erm I guess your engines not looked at much? very often? . |

Another cause may be the rubber buffers on the bonnet have been adjusted and will not allow the bonnet to catch.
