I think that they will survive but only to those with spare cash, a garage and time.
Pity really.
I agree Trevor, all valid points. One has to weigh up the costs of repairs, replacement parts and running costs, against buying a newer car. Some of our older members struggle to get in and out of a 75 because of arthritis or frailty and have to make the change because of this. The cars made these days have more economy in driving them than an old V6 like mine 20 years old next year

Anyway the thing I'm trying to say is from Saturday I will no longer own my launch car.
It needs too much work and I neither have the time or want to it anymore.

After offering my last launch car for free and it turning into a headache I am just taking a few bits off and scrapping it.

I've used the car once in the last 2 months and it's costing me money just sat there.

Will I get another 75.. at this moment in time I'm really not sure. I just don't have the time any more. I'm sorry if this irks some people but I thought I best let you know. Thanks Thomas

Very sorry to read this, Thomas - I have much enjoyed reading your posts for as long as I have been a member here.

All the best for your motoring future - with or without a 75

Hi Thomas,

Sad to read but fully understand where you are coming from.

I'm a non owner as well now but still like to drop in on here when I get the chance.

All the best and hope your trucking and biking is still going well?

It's getting more difficult for me to do my own jobs. I'm under it again tomorrow to do the drop links. Everything seems to take me twice as long as it should but as I'm retired, I take my time to do it right. I had a torn knee ligament last year so take great care when doing a lot of kneeling. Hope all goes well for you. I'll be here until I can't do stuff any more. all the best,
Mike

Good luck Thomas with whatever you choose to do, regarding what you do with your car. End of the day it is your car, if someone contacts you and offers to take it off your hands all good and well, if you decide to scrap then so be it, only you know truthfully what is involved with keeping it going.

It's easy for so many to say "save this car" but they are usually not the ones putting their hands in their pockets to do so....

I have seen your pictures and posts over my time here, you have done the car proud and merit your place here amongst the community, don't be a stranger

It's a shame it's going to the scrappy I would have been more than happy to arrange a trailer to pick it up and take off your hands but I understand! Hopefully you'll be back to 75 ownership sometime in the future
