What A Strange Experience - Gumtree

I had an item on Gumtree which last weekend I had a reply to as someone wanted to buy it. When I explained that I had another one too, they wanted both. As they "work" local to me I thought it would all be quick. They tried to knock me down on the price but as I had some other's interested, I declined, and they said they would pay the full price.

The day and time of pickup went from Tuesday, to Wednesday, then to Friday morning. I then gave them my address details. They then announced it would be "after 9.30a.m.", fine I said. 10.30a.m. a message appeared on Gumtree, "they would be here for 11.30a.m. "

11.45a.m. a message appeared on Gumtree "I'm outside in a grey car". Now I didn't intend to go out into the street but I looked, no cars at all, never mind a grey one. I answered that "it's customary to come to the door and ring the bell".

11.54a.m. message on Gumtree "what's the flats name", now I've called it several things, but for the last twenty odd years, it's only had a number. I answered "I have given you all the details in this set of messages, which is not the normal way of contacting people".

Next was at 12.03p.m. "I am leaving as there are two flats and I didn’t know which one it was" - in the aforementioned set of messages, along with the address I had advised that "Left hand side of the small block of four flats. About one hundred metres north of Stanwell Road". I replied "Goodbye".

Yes, it could be me.
