They were due to be phased out in 2024, but it's so sad to see these Leviathans of the skies unceremoniously dumped and abandoned left to rot.

What a superb aircraft they have been, they say that numbers wise, they have carried half the population of the world at some time.Incredible

When they brought the 747 in, the upper deck was done out as different themed lounges on various airlines; I was so lucky to be able to view many of them. Favourites for me being Qantas done in Captain Cook theme, and the Iran Air had a fantastic gold samovar in the centre on their SP's.
