They were due to be phased out in 2024, but it's so sad to see these Leviathans of the skies unceremoniously dumped and abandoned left to rot.
What a superb aircraft they have been, they say that numbers wise, they have carried half the population of the world at some time.Incredible  |

When they brought the 747 in, the upper deck was done out as different themed lounges on various airlines; I was so lucky to be able to view many of them. Favourites for me being Qantas done in Captain Cook theme, and the Iran Air had a fantastic gold samovar in the centre on their SP's.
