Default Rover 75 Retro Watch Remake

In short the watches can be remade. The cost £300 +

Below is the information relayed to me exact from the supplier. So over to you guys, who is interested and I shall proceed if there is enough numbers. Maybe we can negotiate on price once we have numbers, how we shall proceed is yet to be determined, interest first.

Details:

o the diameter of the watch will be adapted to a current market size
o we are suggesting the latest quartz movement technology PRECIDRIVE, the most accurate quartz movement with an accuracy of +/- 10 sec/year
o scratch proof sapphire crystal
o leather strap of color choice – or we put with every watch 3 different colored leather straps
o stainless steel case
o Limited Edition
o Giftbox

Price depends very much on the volume, but I guess around £ 300.00 plus taxes.

- we rely on the oval form
- we reproduce the dashboard
- the second hand shall have the design of the needle from the dashboard
- the colors of the leather straps shall be “black, blue, green”

Surely that needs to say 'project drive' on the right hand image

To be honest, I think that needs removing totally Plus if it said project drive then the hands from the watch would have to be removed wouldn't they !!!

Come on think pre-project drive you get it all

Hi, Thanks for the update on the watch, I notice there are some subtle differences on the watch face.
Here is the original watch face.
[IMG][/IMG]

My Comments on the copy watch face posted on this tread.
1) numbers are in bolder print.
2) the manufacturers movement is displayed on the face. (instead if swiss made)
3) the "75" is not quite in the original position.
4) the hands on the face are not black and also look thicker.
5) MPH & Km/h also missing.
Close but no cigar.
Really, not quite as good looking as the original.

Kev.

Guys it's a remake not the 20 yr old original I know what the original is I am lucky to own one.

It is what it is though I agree that Preci Drive needs removing. It will also be battery operated. It's taken me quite a while to get here if you are interested then fine but apologise running my business comes first. I can pick this up in Jan after peak to try negotiate changes or if anyone wants to step forward I am happy to pass on the info and make an introduction.

I appreciate we all want perfection but I am doing this in my spare time

Sorry don't want to sound moody but these things take up a lot of time and I thought we had advanced greatly from nothing available to what will always be a substitute and not the original.

For now I'm gauging interest on the watch on offer, less the wording if I can get it removed

So pleased it's not a Bentley Breitling

OK, my expectations were perhaps a bit too high.

May I personally say thank you to you, for giving your time and attention to this particular Rover accessory.

If anyone is interested please let me know. I appreciate it isn't cheap and probably only appeals to the must have's but the more interested then hopefully we can get it made.
