Default Terry Shaw, TS Autos - a star!

Hi All,

Not for the first time, Terry has been a real star, looking after my Cowley 75.

Just under two weeks ago, I noticed how quiet (silent!) the heater/airconditioning had become - and not an ideal time of the year to meet this problem. Terry quickly diagnosed one of three problems that could have caused this:

1. Faulty yellow relay in the engine-bay fusebox

2. Faulty resistor pack located in front passenger footwell or

3. Faulty blower motor located behind driver's footwell.

With Terry's guidance, no. 1 was ruled out, so I had to book a trip to see him in Stourbridge. Terry very kindly suggested I visit him on Sunday so I wouldn't lose a working day. So I set off from Guildford before the crack of dawn, 'insulated' with cycling gloves, a woolly hat and a trusty hot-water bottle (non-Rover badged) . (By the way, after 30 minutes or so, none was necessary - as predicted by Terry thanks to the engine heat making the interior comfortable.)

It was indeed the resistor pack that Terry had to replace and he was able to send me on my way without any fuss (after having first reassured me about the brakes, adjusting the handbrake (on his inspection) and topping up the antifreeze.

Great thanks to Terry yet again for keeping me and my 19-year old 75 on the road!

All the best, Nicholas/Zircon
