Default Mot time

Well it’s gone......................in for its MOT. 9.00am this morning, and now I have to wait for a result until this afternoon. Walked back from test station, and was just about done in with the heat, no wind not even a breeze. Probably be going to pick it up in pouring rain this afternoon.

Hi Steve. It passed with a few compliments on how clean it was underneath.. No advisory on anything. Quite pleased after waiting until around five o’clock for the call to collect it from 9 o’clock this morning. I went to tax it on the net, but forgot it would date from 1st June, so not bothering until Tuesday so it starts 1st July. It is nice not to have to use my left leg it being automatic. Last auto I had was way back in the 70s Daimler 250 v8 Saloon.

Cheers Steve/Dave. As soon as I came home I went on the DVLA web site to tax it, then found it would start on June 1st, so quickly cancelled the application. Not paying nearly £30 squids forjust four days use. Yes I know. I’m a tight wad, so it will have to wait until just passed midnight on Tuesday. Sorned the diesel, so am getting 8 months back on that. That can go towards the tax on the KV6.

Congratulations on the MOT. I had a Daimler Sovereign automatic in midnight blue with cream leather upholstery which I bought off my father 'cheap' in 1984. The wife still tells me she wished I hadn't sold it. I was doing a daily 62 mile commute from Aboyne to Aberdeen and the fuel costs just mounted up. Lovely car though. I'm sure an automatic may be in my future lol, but not one that averages 15mpg
