Default Flywheel questions

Hi all I need some advice on my flywheel!

I’m wondering if it’s still good / can it be resurfaced?

No it can't.........however I would be tempted to give it a quick rub over with fine emery on a block to see if it has high spots, however any cracking or deep scoring means it's not fit for further service.

This is in addition to radial and axial play checks

The surface looks smooth. Are the marks just discolouration or is the surface scored ??

Have you tried polishing the surface if it's smooth ??

If replacing the clutch I would definetly give the flywheel a scuff with emery paper to remove any glazing caused by an old slipping clutch.

The surface is smooth.. I’ll try giving it a polish with emery

I’m in Leicestershire, currently refurbishing the engine and front end..
