I would be very interested in door cappings like these that Avon has on his car (although his are real walnut and must have cost a fortune). It would be nice if they could be made similar but extended to come down to meet the switch/armrest assembly.

Also, does anybody have a close up of the walnut LSM piece fitted?

Have ordered a couple of new bits for my 75 as the walnut dash company one's is starting to peel off and looking a mess

These sets are sure a much better colour match and also the fitting looks far better as well, The walnut dash company one did not fit correctly around the air con panel and the head lamp switches, center section, Am going to replace the whole lot over a period of time as the old ones started to peel off

All I need to do soon is to find out about getting the walnut dash company ones off without causing any damages to the trim

Has anyone else had to remove these kits from the cars If so Please can you advise me

My biggest issue is the colour match with the "plastic wood" of the console brow and the cupholders; very noticeable in bright sunlight. I believe Simon's stuff is a much better match.
Walnut dash company started peeling from the passenger door and drivers door, after 2 years! The colour match is very poor as well as the fitting's, Found it was very tight fit on the air con control panel, had to use a staney knife to get it to fit better, also on the head light panel was very tight

Am going to replace the whole lot over a period of time, Have ordered new passenger door and drivers door, Will just have to find out the safest way to remove them fully before fitting the new bits

I really like the door cladding it has given me ideas now about enquiring about some for my 75

For those members that may not know apart from the full kit at post 1 he does sunvisor panels and the rear air vent panel (see below ) but is not adding these to the cost of a full kit as not all members want them.

Prices
Sunvisors is £10 + £2 delivery
Rear Airvent £7 + £1 delivery

( no delivery charge if ordered with a full kit )

As some of you will know Simon has stopped supplying the chrome at present as he is trying to find a replacement material - so watch this space.

The door cappings are a non starter and the technical reasons are as follows:

The problem is the cappings would be put directly next to the window, and when the sun shines, not just in the summer, the temperature near the window gets quite hot and they become wavy. The reason this happens is that the base material (woodgrain) is polyester, which is heat resistant but the resin and the adhesive are thermoplastic.Under prolonged heat the resin and adhesive expand, (but at different rates), but the polyester does not, so a wave is formed. When the walnut panel cools down the wave is "locked" in due to the difference in the expansion and contraction rates of the resin and adhesive. The only way to get rid of the wavy effect is to remove the panel and reapply it, but of course removing it usually destroys it.

Yes am liking this more and more, Will end up spending lots more on my 75 before I have owned her for 3 years, But she worth every penny

Has anyone got a photo of the sun visers on?
