Hi Avalon
Thanks for advice. I spotted dog legs on side and even put a spot of Vaseline on them and I used lever with light pressure but couldn't move above halfway point.
I really don't want to damage connector or wiring so I think I will leave as is especially as it all works fine (and I do very few miles) and I will sell or return BM24.
Anyway thanks to all for advice.

If you look on the plug it shows a screwdriver being used to push the plug up. They can be tight and that's what what I do to remove the plug.

They are indeed quite tight to remove, when I had to remove mine I feared I would even break the damn thing. Once you are halfway up, indeed use a very large screwdriver to pull the connector all the way up. Do not attempt, as I did initially, to force remove the connector. once the plug is all the way up, it goes off immediately and with no effort.
