Default retro fit Hi Line

Hi to all who have greater knowlage than me when things
turn to electrickery...........
I have a complete loom all the boxes from boot inc reverse
sat nav rear blind et al
I have instaled the whole caboodle and the only thing i can get on the
screen is the T.V cant access the radio or any other part of the system
c.d. etc any ideas to those who can answer I You

With the TV do you get any sound?

hi well done in fitting it i would go back and check all the plugs on the radio tuner and sat nav drive.these plugs can be a bit akward to insert fully you think they are in but they are not.the black horeshoe shaped lever on these plugs has to be in the fully down position b4 they will go in correctly,if you try with them with the lever at half **** so to speak they go in but not all the way.when they do go home they go in with a positive clunk

also is the light coming on on the nav drive there should be a red light on the front ?

Do you know if it all worked ok before it was removed and or you fitted it?

no sound loaded it cassett with c.ds and it powers up though agian
no sound

Have you connected in the Kbus? Nothing will work until its connected in.

i was leaving that until all other avenues had been tested.but thinking back to when i installed mine i had a seperate plug which had the kbus wire in it plus others which as you say needs to be connected up.all comes back to me now!you have the big bmw connector plus a small black rectangular to connect. the kbus wire as we no is red and white with horizontal yellow marks on it

Update have gone over the instalation have discovered two broken wires (corroded)
on the radio module thin red/white and a purple blue? any idias as to the pin numbers
as the two are very close together and dread putting into wrong place
and blowing the unit
Aso have a two pin female conector at front of the loom with one spade at north south
and other east west cant seen to place this,( grey matter failing)
