Cheapest is the 2 bucket wash and another bucket with demonshine made up and used as rinse and rinse aid in one.

Applied by watering can or jug.

The O.N.R. is an incredible product...

Simple answer, move to Scotland. Plenty of water here.

One of my suppliers does a waterless wash and wax product. I am going to try it on a panel I've had outside for a few weeks and see what the results are.

As far as Demon Shine goes, it's great to add a bit of bling between waxes; it leaves the surface feeling quite slick and water does bead up well on it too, but I find it really useful as a drying agent when I'm trying to towel down a car and it's a bit damp / humid.

My QD weapon of choice is still Meguiars #135. Even smells nice

I Only see Demon Shine as a Rinse Aid i see no other benefit of it despite marketing its Rinse Aid is what its best at.

Thanks guys. I will leave the argument about the ban itself for another day.

I will try the ONR as I have to do something! Just worried about scratches as my car is already coated in Swirl Marks and I normally have to use heavier duty car washes due to the thick mud.

Well luckily, I have never felt the need to use a hose, or have continually running water when I wash the car; one bucket and careful use of it and that includes the first general soak, prior to using my nylon broom head that I have always used, then "chamois" off, and still able to step back and admire.

Well, at POL with no water available, I cleaned 500+ miles of traffic film and crud off my ZT-T using my suppliers waterless wash & wax product and I was mightily impressed with the results. As were a number of members who watched me do it.

However, my car is Starlight Silver and there was no accumulation of grit on the car, just water staining and traffic film from the drive down from Scotland to Birmingham via Bristol and Cirencester. I don't think I'd put it near a car with heavy dirt or grit on it, and I'd be very circumspect about using it on a dark colour as IMO you'd get swirling no matter how careful you were. But for occasional use as a quick way to spruce up a mildly grubby, light coloured car it did work well.

Silver hides a multitude of sins. I wouldnt regularly dry wash a dark coloured car.

Your best weapon against damage caused by the 2 bucket wash is a highly polished and well waxed car.
