Default Help... Highline sat nav set up

Carrying on from this thread:- Whats this wire and were does it go ?

Myself and another forum member have had ago again at fitting the Highline Sat Nav on my 2003 52 reg Rover 75 2.5 V6 auto Club SE.

But yet again we are having problems.

We cant find were certain wires go. On the sat nav loom we have found a extra plug but the female end to the plug is no were on my car loom.

This is the plug that i mean:-

Now we have found were the Blue and Purple wire go and we have also found were the White and red wire with the yellow tracer goes.

But we cant find were the Blue and Orange wire goes and we also cant find were the Green and Brown wire goes.

Could someone please tell us what the above wires do and were they go ? - like i said we cant find the female end of the plug anywere on the car loom (we have managed to get the female end of the plug off a 2003 75 cdti - but this is no use to us until we find were the wires are meant to go).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

We also cant find a coax cable anywere on the sat nav loom that is meant to attach to the tv reciever in the boot.

As you will see by the following picture the coax cable is missing:-

Now on all the other Highline Sat Navs we have seen there as always been a coax cable that connects to the tv reciever but like i say there is not one on the loom for the sat nav.

All the best and Thanks in advance for help
Craig

As I said in previous thread.
I had this cable with both the mail and female connected.

Blue and Orange, Steering control, IE, volume up down etc.
Brown and Green, reverse relay.

How they connect in your car, sorry don't know.

Coax, on my Hi Line setup, it was all in the boot, with no coax coming to head unit.
Coax for sat nav came down from under rear offside parcel shelf to sat nav disk unit in rear offside boot inner wing.

It would seem that my head unit was just a control unit for all the gubbins in the boot.

Hope this helps.

hi all you have going to the tv module is a blue and a white plug plus x 2 thin black antenna conectors.it will not have a thick coax like the one on the radio module.there also will not be a coax on the head unit it just a display screen for the other units.dont worry about the reverse feed mine has not got it and it works fine

our problem is without the blue / orange wire and the green / brown wires connected we are only getting TMC shown on the sat nav screen with everything else connected.

So we assume that we need the blue / orange and green / brown connected in order for it work correctly if that makes sense.

I know the sat nav works as i saw it working before i bought it.

well mine has never had it fitted still has not and works.but for the record does the sat nav drive power light come on?you should also be able to hear the tv module working.my only suggestion and if was able to i would be round in a shot.is to make sure the plugs are fully home.the black lever needs to be down fully flat b4 pushing home.they can be pushed in with lever in the half way postion and you think they are in but they are not.when inserted correctly they go home with a resounding clunk

i take it the plugs going into the board monitor still have the outer casings on them which from memory are blue and white.only if they are missing the plugs can be put in the wrong way round and give the exact symptoms you describe

just been outside and checked and all plugs are connected right (none of them are loose) and yes the outer casings are still there and they are connected the right way around.
