no its exactly the same as when mine is connected to my car - the screen lights up and at the bottom of the screen there is a white strip with TMC in middle of the strip. the light comes on the headunit but nothing happens no matter what button you press.

the disc drive light comes on so we know that is working fine.

Its just seems strange to me that we cant get it working in my 75 .

We just need as much information as possible before wednesday as that is when we are going to give it another go and hopefully get it working.

Well as it happens, I was tinkering with mine earlier in the week and hadn't re-seated the blue plug on the video module properly (as Phil said earlier about the black clamp being full 90 degrees before you insert the connector). The result was the same as you, just the white strip on the bottom of the screen and the fan not running. I went back and pulled it off, and started again, the fan ran up this time and the picture came good on the monitor.

I would double check that blue connector and also wiggle the wires to check for a loose cable or bent pin.

I could not check the connections yesterday as it was raining all day by me, but i have checked all the connections today and everything is connected properly and no wires are lose - and nothing had changed, still a white strip with TMC on the screen.

Craig,

Having not been on I'd not seen this tread. What did you end up doing with that connector you couldn't find the other half of?

Is the video module definitely a rover one? The BMW units do not have a fan.
