Default Puzzled

Right guys, after reading all the quotes from you all, which have been great and reading the bizarre claims of the polish/sealent/wax manufacturers, i,ve come up with this combo:

ZAINO Z2
ZAINO Z8
FK1000P

Would this combo do the trick on my starlight silver baby?????

The Z8 is a top coat, you dont need the FK1000P if you use it. If you do the Z8 should go over the top.

Would you use a buffer or hand with these products?

Id use them by hand, but you need a polish first ideally Zaino Z-AIO, which should be applied by machine i think. Z2 is a sealant and Z8 is an extra glossy sealant that gives it that extra final touch. If using them dont bother with the FK1000P.

There are SO many products. Another good combo is Prima Amigo topped with FK1000P. FK1000Ps main advantage is that a pot will basically last forever ive done my car 5 times, my sisters car twice, my parents car 3 times and the pot has hardly dropped at all.

Would Auto Glym Super Resin do as the polish and then follow up with the latter Zaino finishes?

Yes, but it might reduce the durability, im not a big fan of it, its a bit dusty and it contains filling oils which will reduce ability of sealants to stick.

You just need a mild cutting finishing polish, the Zaino is pricey, maybe try this:

A popular product, just work it until it goes clear/oily looking.

As stated if using Zaino then dont need the FK1000P.

However i personally found the hype over Zaino is a lot more than there products deliver.

The FK1000P will last years and great for using on the wheels also double whammy and miles cheaper than the Zaino.

Yeah i think your right. FK1000P is really so good i don't see the point in anything else this side of the permanent coatings. Z8 looks great on black, but i havent seen it on a light car.

The Z2 and Z5 did nothing for me on black.

FK is a fantastic bit of kit to have.

Whats telling for me is that ive tried a lot of things in the last year, but i came back to FK1000P in the end.

I did like Body Wrap over the winter, but its not so good in my view in the summer when you need to wash dust and pollen off a lot (which i do), it seems to lose something even when you use its dedicated shampoo and its far to expensive to keep reapplying. It is great in the winter though, because its just so hydrophobic.
