Never rains but it pours, do you mean on the extra bit of loom? the other two connectors were video in and out for a rear view camera.

I might try that, I thought it was going to be simple, all the messing about with it, getting a bit browned off!

Ah right, out of interest have you tried the video lead from the DVB-T in the camera in?

No nothing, I think I'm going to try plugging the box into my house TV and see what happens.

Finally got round to having another tinker and found out that the reason it was not working was because the scotchblock had not cut through the insulation on the switched live side the give away in hindsight was that the LED on the digibox was red and not green.

Now my problem is that it can't pick up the signal, I've moved the car round a few times and tried again, but I have read on here that it is a bit hit and miss so I'm not giving up on it yet, the other thing is that the antenna supplied (by radioguy) is the one that looks a bit like a clear plastic ruler with the white ovals across it and a 3M adhesive pad in the middle, it has a couple of wires on it I assume to power a signal booster? I'm also sure it was said on here that it's not needed on our cars, is that right?

Last question, is there a better antenna out there I could get to improve the signal pick up?

Hi Roy,

The 12 volt power connection for your angel wing aerial is very much needed Sir and could be the difference between receiving or not receiving a signal

Time to open up that scotch lock again

Well, slowly moving forward

nine TV channels but no radio (on the digibox), I put that down to the area, I will move the car tomorrow and try tuning in again, initially no sound but twiddled with the RCA plugs and now that's working so it's looking better

Is the angel wing the best antenna then?
(just thinking out aloud)

And a thanks to Jeff!

An externally mounted antenna for TV such as a Shark Fin may offer a little improvement but they all are only as good as the signal allows in a given area.
A 15ft pole with a 44 element High Gain aerial on top would be better but........

Had another go this morning, I now have a virtually full compliment of TV and radio channels on the digibox so now it's a case of tidying up the wiring, fixing the box and refitting all the boot lining, thanks to all the help on here
