BKVP indicates the garage has tended to his car over a long period of time- I expect they have always been remunerated for this work. He sounds like a good customer. It would be nice if every job runs smoothly and according to makers stated times. But in the real world that isn't the case and sometimes a job/task is a pig and takes a long time. That's the way it is and inference of the " contract plus" principle I find distasteful and I wouldn't trade with a company that tried that rabbit. This type of contract has been used extensively in public projects and is no better than a scam. Chris.S.
