Hi,

I've bought one of these watches some years ago brand new for about 60,- EUR from a MG Rover dealer in Germany.

As far as i know these watches are not a limited edition, they are rare but not worth the price of the mentioned auction.
Limited edition was the watch in style of the dash clock, there were 1.500 made. I also own one of these and had paid brand new about 45,- EUR.
There was such a limited watch been sold on fleebay e few months ago, used but in very good condition only had need a new battery, for less than 50,- EUR!

About quality: Quality is far good but not as good as MG Rover watches from WMC. WMC watches are also limited. Here is one for sale:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Original-Rover-Ch...item414a3b4b79

In december last year I've purchased this limited ladies watch:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=190352229515

So don't pay silly money for an item that isn't worth it. That's my opinion.

Regards

Gert

I think you are well out of it Andrew, though you explained your intentions I would keep quiet next time.
Nice advert for the club though

Hi phenonix

here you go:

http://www.r75.info/modules.php?name...818a23f1341a72

http://www.r75.info/modules.php?name...818a23f1341a72

It is no 0479 out of 1.500.

You may only watch the pics if you are registered (free of charge) on our webside www.r75.info

Some of the members here are already registered and I hope someone can put the pics here because I couldn't ...

BTW: The watch in style of the speedo was produced in two versions:
The one which is in the auction now and the second had a glossy surround (lunette). The one with the glossy lunette is much rarer than the one in the auction with the beamless lunette.

Regards
