Hi Mick.
Thankyou for all the hard work you have carried out for us in the Rover 75 ownership, look after yourself and your family, that goes to everyone on here, we decided today to go into self isolation & I will only pop to the morrisons which lucky for us is only 300yrds away for our bread and milk etc if they have it.

It's all relative though, whatever it takes to mitigate the effect this disease has on the population will be worth it, and like Mick I've made provision for rainy days, let's hope it's not a monsoon though.

The main thing is to stay safe, look out for others, and help where you can.

I couldn’t agree more mate let’s just hope it’s not a monsoon

For my wife and I the decisions we made a bit over 40 years ago have played a part in us providing for a rainy day today. My daughter in early 20's started planning for the future, my son late 20's still has not and I worry for him.

Will those that struggle these next few months ever be able to save and if they do get in that position, will they?

Mick I hope you don't think I was having a go at you, I was trying to be helpful and maintain a cash flow for you

Ian I never took it that way, you post way very clear in that you was trying to help mate,
Cheers Mick

The one issue that is so refreshing in the current madness is the kindness and thoughtfulness of some people in trying to help others despite their own problems. Mickyboy and MarinaBrian's actions for all their customers on this forum says it all, and endorses what they have done for years on here in better times. I applaud you both, and others doing similar things.

And, ironically, I've not been a customer [yet] of either of these gentlemen!

Lets hope that this pandemic is over reasonably quickly and all can resume where we left off: appreciate that is easier said than done

That’s very kind of you Kevin,
Let’s also remember all the other experts on here like BigRuss, Trikey, Arctic, Cb Chris, Mike Noc and others who regularly help others on a daily basis, to keep these fine cars clocking up the miles.

No problem Mick, and thanks for the response.

I did obliquely make reference to everyone else doing similar things by using the word "others" in the last sentence in my first paragraph, but I agree that I should have made it more obvious! I was trying not to miss everyone in that category [a long list no doubt], but it should have been clearer.
