Default Barnsdale Tunnel

Following on from the thread about Longbridge and a link to a site that advocates "Urban Exploration" I found a place on there I thought I would take the kids to.

Didnt tell them where we going the Daughters face was priceless, but she braved it with us, so was very proud.

The place is called Barnsdale Tunnel, its an old railway tunnel that was opened in 1885, the line through the tunnel closed officially in April 1959.

Its about 1200 Yards long, and very dark and spooky

The light at the end is visible here

Very Spooky indeed, bet those tunnel walls could tell some stories.

Very spooky Jeff, as Colin The Head found out during our recent documentary that we filmed about the Barnsdale Tunnel. We had a strange encouter caught on camera right in the middle of the tunnel, ironically at the side of a plaque known as Sharons Spring.

Anybody interested in watching the barnsdale tunnel documentary, its on youtube, link here...
