help with running extra wires to car doors
Has anyone every run any extra wires from the car to the doors? I need to run 1 wire to each door for a little mod I'm doing but only managed the drivers one yesterday and it was a serious struggle. and even then I wasn't able to past the wire through the rubber grommet/tubing which has the rest of the wires in it.
Is there any how to or anything to show the best way to do this without removing the doors? Cheers, |

Yes, it was a massive pain.
The proper way is to drill out some of the unused pins in the connector and push the wire through. I find that WD40 down the conduit helps a lot, as does some tape and a metal coathanger to use as a pull. |

how does that plug unplug? and does it plug back in again easily? As on my ZT the plug barely moves out and it's really difficult to get to.

I traced a 1mm supply wire for puddle lights to all four doors. It was reasonably straight forward I reckon. The method I used is in this HowTo (which never made it into the HowTo forum).

Well I've wired it all up today, rear doors were nice and easy to do so ran my wires through the conduit on each door, but on the front doors I've had to run my wires outside of the conduits. Only problem I'm having now is I can't seem to get any of the grommets to go back in place. |
