Depends on the rolling radius (Profile of the tyres used) I have never found a 75 or ZT speedometer to be very accurate at the best of times

If it's good enough for the Royall navy (with all that salt)... good enough for my 75.
ACF50 looks good as well. Thankfully after all the years of watching our pride n joy's dissolve before our eyes science has created a number of good solutions.

Another I like is Aquasteel - similar I think (non toxic, water based) to ACF50. Only time will tell which was best and it's as much to do with the thoroughness of the application as anything.

I can only vouch for ACF50 as I have several lathe tools I had coated a few years ago, they have always been kept in my workshop which is neither warm or damp proof! never seen any signs of rust formulation on them, always used it on my bikes when I was an all weather biker, road salt, rain, etc: has had zero effect on any of the coated parts.
So have plans to completely coat all the underside of my 75 in the summer after a thorough jet wash and dry.
It's not often I get excited about anything like this but ACF50 really does do what it says on the tin.

I've still got a can of ACF 50 in the shed from my biking days, great stuff

From my experience, and speaking with Phil T-4 many moons ago when I first met him. It is worth getting everything mechanical and all electronics stable before approaching the upgrade territory. I met Phil at a meeting at Gaydon in 2014, interesting guy who spoke the truth. He commented about some of the examples showing which exhibited a lack of tread on tyres, brakes that were shot to bits ETC, but most of them had been victims of cosmetic before safety !

He advised me on the status of my embarrassing example (Which he complimented as - It aint impersonating anything else but a car that had been neglected) and advised me of what needed doing in order of importance, and that I should call him with my findings for advice on the best way to go forward with it. This happened, and required his interventions using his box of tricks. Since then I had the privilege of becoming chums with him, resulting in many occasions working on many cars with him.
He has seen the transformation of my car into a personalised example of a great car which has been loaned out to many who had trouble with theirs while repairs were effected by either Phil, or myself.

This club has much to offer, and only you can make the final decisions on what will suit you and your car the best.

Although I have made some enemies on here, I have met some truly fantastic folks, many of whom have inspired me to continue with my car and membership to this club.

So there it is......

Rover 75 Club Ctd with the following bits added...

My 75 has it's uniqueness.
Fully black inside to include heated leather.
Roof lining and pillars are black.
Black parcel shelf with electric blind.
Genuine wood dash panels.
ZT front bumper with projectors.
Hairpin alloys.
Navall 4 head unit with subwoofer.
Built in usb charging points.
Self dimming mirror.
Webasto FBH.
Wooden steering wheel dyed black with MG Airbag.
My own creation of intercooler hose upgrade.

And the list goes on.

It has been so much fun and I am most proud of it.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

HI Andy
Yes I will have to check the speedometer against the satnav Tom Tom when I next go out in the NUK forgot to do it today after I changed the wheels over from Star spokes to the 11 spokes which did not take long for me to make my decision which to stick with couple of comparison photo's below.

So yes Brian (Marina) was spot on this now saves me the cost of refurbishing the star spokes and I have five 11's so a full size spare in the boot.

Tis true .... you can't polish a t**d.
As said in previous post ... the list of things to do is rapidly decreasing, I'm at the point now of changing things like the tank straps, mine aren't bad at all really but it's a potential problem I can avoid with a bit of 'future proofing', i've got some stainless steel sheet that will do the job nicely.
All the doors, boot, bonnet, behind chrome body strips, engine bay panels / seams, sills and cavities have been liberally coated in ACF50 already. Have just bought 4 litres of the stuff with a prayer ready to do the whole underside when weather permits.

Much of the fun with car ownership for me is to play with it until I get it exactly how I want it, I've owned 56 cars in my lifetime and can honestly say ... all of them in one way or another have been changed to my liking.
There are NO perfect cars out there in my mind and so .. I just have to fiddle.
Couldent agree more,im exactly the same, just love messing😀
