Default Peugeot Cam pully

Sorry not zt related but earlier, there was a knocking noise on the daughters 307 1.4.removed timing belt cover and discovered the middle part had fell out of the exhausr sprocket.question is can the car still be used with this missing.im guessing its some kind of harmonic balancer.

I would suggest not even starting the engine before a replacement pulley is sourced and fitted.

Go for it then, it might work...... of course if it doesn't it may well end in tears

I've no experience of Peugeot cars, post 405 fitted with an XUD diesel, so you have the advantage having seen the offending item first hand.

Best of luck
