More knife crime

Four random stabbi9in north London, two people critically injured, one with potentially life changing injuries.

Couple of days ago a 12 year old girl was found with a knife at a primary school in Musselburgh. No information about the circumstances in the news, nobody was threatened, presume the knife was seen by someone. Police attended and she's been charged. Stupid, hasn't even started her life and she'll always be tainted by that.

Part of the trouble about carrying a knife is staying with the ‘in’ crowd. Youngsters sometimes carry one to look hard, be one of the gang or not be left out in the ‘cred’ stakes. It’s possible they would have no intention of using it but to discourage it, the 10 year sentence sounds right.

It will shock others into sense and if it works then parole could lead to the term being reduced in the right cases. The stop and search policy has just been amended by Sajid Javid so that might enable police to apprehend some of it but I think I know what the outcry will be about.
