I did a diagnosis check and the fault was FC 21 and 22
Or line it says Sun Light Sensor fault.
When I go the car the sensor on top of the dash in the middle right at the front wasn't in place properly.
I take it the previous owner messed about with it.
If it is this causing the fault how do I take it out without breaking anything?
I'm thinking about swapping it from the one in my old car but as said I don't want to break it taking it out.

I've messed about with the sensor and did another test.
The result was FC 00
So in theory there is no fault.
Before I test the air con I take it the engine has to be warmed up first the I press the AUTO button to turn the air con on?

It isn't.

I'm not sure what you mean by "test the air con". If you mean running the built-in diagnostics then the answer to your question is no. It makes no difference whether the engine is cold or warmed up.

I suggest that you seek the assistance of T4.

If your temp is set to low and you then press auto then the system does blow at full pelt in an attempt to reach the temp selected. If I do this in my car then the display temp changes to from low to 16 too. It did on my ZT before it and the 75 before that. Pressing auto again does nothing and pressing econ simply disengages the ac compressor. If you wish to lower the fan speed then you have to do that manually (or adjust the temps up to the ambient and the blowers will stop trying to force cool air into the cabin to lower the temp). The direction of flow shouldn't change from that which you had set before pressing auto. The exception being if you had pressed demist instead of auto.

I’m not far from you just south of Evesham. Happy to take a look for you. I also have a spare control panel if yours is not working as it should.
