I think we're about to lose our old moggy. May need a replacement soon...

They do look very sweet at that age jeff, but then they get aloof demanding and treat you as their property !!! Give me a puppy every time !! at least you can train them and they are a friend for life.

But the pics are great Jeff and my daughter would love to adopt them all im sure

Treat a cat right and you will have a companion for life Mike
They're just more independent, as they can if need be fend for themselves!
They are loving and loyal but would have no hesitation in leaving if you didn't meet their requirements
They don't need walking either, so good for us lazy lot

So sorry to hear that Andy,
Ros and I have just been through this ourselves with our eldest!
We are possibly going to be bringing a new friend home this week as a companion for Smoky.
If the times comes and you feel ready,
Give me a call and I may be able to help.

Havent met too many guide cats yet and the fact dogs need walkies is a good reason to have one jeff, I am thinking of getting one to stop me finding excuses not to go walkies myself LOL. but taking on any pet brings a responsibility of course so O have to give it further thought

Nope, I don't think I would want to trust my cat getting me across the road in one piece
I love all animals but for Ros and I being at work all day it just wouldn't be fair to have a dog indoors on its own all day.
As said, cats have their independent side so can find their own company or things to do.
But the loyalty of a dog cannot be under estimated.
I had my Black Lab 'Bonnie' for sixteen years and miss her loads still ten years on from her passing.
