I think that pigeon sums up the feelings of last weeks weather. Sit there and endure as nothing can be done.

Still, the rain didn't stop the performance

Apeture priority for the rainbow shot, ISO100. Manual (including focus) for the fireworks. Using auto focus in dark conditions is never good, it hunts for too long and the split second of fireworks is lost. I've put a few more here but not had time to sort all the photos yet.

Like the firework shot with the stage as point of interest.
Here are some from Ironbridge.....the camera has a glitch in that I have to compose the shot with an upside down image!....kid myself its an old Rolliflex!

Thanks for that.It was a bit tricky lying on the muddy floor! I am getting more frustrated by the hour with this digital camera I just cannot get on with composing a shot on a tiny screen! the veiwfinder does not give a true image size, I realise a digi slr is the answer but I would like to upload some
of the FM2 pictures...a brilliant camera...rant over!!We are going back there, a super place for "industrial" shots.P.

I used to have an olympus c700uz which i think was an older stablemate of your c-5060, a good camera but it also had a tiny lcd screen!! DSLR's are much easier to use for composing - and the new crop that have live view on the LCD's are supposed to be even better.

I think the firework shots are superb, I have never yet managed to take anything other than a dark sky with a few flash dots ! The tunnel shot from ironbridge is a top foto.

First attempt to take a photo using the EOS 40D’s remote capture capabilities through a computer!
