That cheap mesh seems to work ok.

Only problem is that just blows them away only to come back again.
The blower I have also picks the leaves up into a sack for disposal into the compost bin.

Hi Jim, I've gone through two of those blower/leave mulchers now, the muncher blade motor fails and I end up with just a blower anyway. I find the leaves keep jamming the blade which in turn burns the motor out, so I've given up on the mulcher versions now.

I still end up putting them in a dozen garden bags and going down the tip, at least I can blow them in one big heep now, instead of raking up the stones. lol

So true, can't understand why council plants trees near houses. The back lane on other side of street is covered with pine needles, which somehow manage to get around two corners and cover the cars.

We have tree's all around us, pine, silver birch and oak, they block out the sun and the light all through the year, they keep everything wet and damp through the winter (including our home), and if that's not enough, they shred all their leaves all over everything which turns our driveway and garden into a huge compost heap.

I don't usually do "mine is bigger" posts, but I have one of these. It almost lifts you off the ground on full throttle.

Also one similar to this.
