Opinions on 75 upgrades etc:
OK... so I'm hoping to purchase some 18'' rims and tyres at some point for my 75 club cdt, i think the MG ZT 11 spoke wheels are by far the best choice for this car imo.
I'm not looking to change the car as I'm pretty smitten with it tbh and have plans for a re-map, suspension upgrade, poly-bush suspension components etc: but I like the idea of retro fitting some parts from other / higher spec models such as ... the rear spoiler! I'm probably in for a bit of stick here and I can already hear shouts of ...'buy a ZT and be done with it', to me it's all about making my 75 a bit more individual with some well chosen parts that were available from the factory ie: the rear spoiler, twin bumper exhaust trim, headlight upgrade, chrome door handle shells, and maybe some one off custom made parts like a stainless mesh front grill and so on. I know I shouldn't be swayed or indeed bothered by other peeps opinions but I welcome any views / opinions / suggestions / and criticism. so ... into the Lions den! |

Your car, your money and your choice. Listen to the suggestions then do your own thing.
I got a bit of stick about the work that I have had done to Banana, but I like the work carried out. Makes her that bit “special” to me.

That is just perfect... pretty much what I had in mind really, just some nice tasteful upgrades and maybe some one off custom touches here 'n' there.
Where did you get the stainless door trims? never seen them advertised anywhere, think they look fantastic. Last edited by gadget1960; 22nd December 2018 at 19:12.. Reason: q... |

I keep messing with my cars, only because i like to be a bit different.
I have now fitted 11 spokes as they suit the cars perfect. |

Out of everything you listed the twin bumper exhaust trim will more than likely give the biggest problem unless you can get one made or make one yourself. Right hand exhaust trims are extremely rare and when they do come on the market command a suitable price. The spoiler is very much a marmite thing, either love them or hate them, some refer to the boomerang spoiler as a "pram handle"!
