Default Benidorm revisited.

Thought i would never go back there as it had gone too rough.
But just come back from a week in the revamped old town. Stayed at the Corona Del Mar,perfect location and good sea views. The old town is much better than the new town.
Don't want to start a political thread, but must mention that we done a 50min bus trip to Altea, cost £1.20, back home a 15min trip costs £3.00. I thought we were all equal in the E.U.
The g/daughter and i done the boat trip out to the island, proud to say got to the top.

Totally agree about the new town area, that is why i was a bit apprehensive when i was told we are going, but the old town where we stayed has had a face lift and i was pleased with our stay.

I'm sort of of a regular there for the last 40 years or so.
Been to lots of other places, but apart from Vegas there's nothing to beat it for value and entertainment.
It is getting bad in new town, but it's fine in winter apart from pea men and pickpockets.
My wife died recently, so I'm going on my own soon, not sure how it will go.
No point moping about though, I'm no spring chicken myself.
