Default Door mirrors don’t work

I’ve checked fuse 35 which is ok.
On my wife’s MK2 car it’s a different fuse!
I cleaned the switch box in the drivers door as per the how to. Maybe I should clean it again as it’s been 2 years?
Is there anything I’ve missed?

My experiences with door mirrors not working, is that if they have not been moved for some time, they are reluctant to start work again. On at least 3 occasions, it has taken a minute or so for them to restart. Worth a try.

This might be a shot in the dark, few months ago my mirrors stopped working, and so did all of my four electric windows. Thought it was wiring but then turned the key one day and no power whatsoever.... checked battery terminals and both were loose to the point I could just pull them off. Tightened them both up and Ta! Da! power restored... windows were working... and both mirrors.......

just use a rubber not electrical cleaner wd40 etc as it can leave a residue that attracts dust etc.then you are back to square one
