My thoughts too, I always thought that two-tone cars should have the darker side at the bottom, but many/most of the duotones had the darker side at the top.
All the Duotones that were made by MG Rover were dark at the top and light along the bottom half.

Only one was offered with the light colour at the top and dark on the bottom half, unfortunately none were made.

That's a really nice colour combo.

Wasn't that the black car that was for sale last year with the boot rack fitted? I'm sure someone on here had it, and then sold it on with a spare boot without the holes for the rack?

If it was the same one, it was all black when it was first for sale.

Nah, that one was registration BX04...

...I had Lates put back on the 'normal' boot.

I've still got the boot rack though if anyone wants it, not sure if all the fixtures were there or not!

It is interesting that two limos had boot racks fitted, given how rare a combination it must be!

Twin-tone worked well on some cars in the 1950s and 1960s, including the Rover P4, but this is the first time I've seen it on a 75 and I agree with everyone else who has expressed an opinion on this thread: I don't like it! One combination which might work on the 75 is black and grey, which looked good on some of the more up-market cars of the 50s and 60s, but I can't imagine any other combination looking good on our cars.
