Plenum drain problem
Mindful of the excellent advice I have seen many times on this forum, I have always made a point of keeping my plenum drains clear. The last time I had to clear a blockage, however, I must have pushed too hard because the rubber drain tube disappeared down the hole! Entirely my own fault, of course - those members who have met me know that my mechanical incompetence is second to none - but my question is, does it matter? The plenum still drains, but where will the water be going? Is it going into a box section where it might lead to a rust problem in the future? And if so, what can I do about it?

The usual advice is to replace any drain tube lost from the plenum floor. There is a cavity between the floor you can see from the top and the lower one you see from under the car. Draining water is likely to seep into places it shouldn't. Replacing the lower tubes is a chore because of the double floor arrangement.
